SILVER HILL DUCK & SINGAPORE

In 2014 the famous Silver Hill Duck arrived in Singapore after numerous enquiries based on our success in London Chinatown.
Today over 300 high end hotels & restaurants in Singapore now serve our world renowned Duck.

One of these is the award winning Min Jiang restaurant in the luxury and exclusive castle inspired Goodwood Park Hotel.

Very colonial in its design the Goodwork Park is a listed heritage hotel and regularly hosts dignitaries and celebrities visiting Singapore.

But the star of the show is the wood fired Silver Hill Duck cooked Peking Style based on an ancient Chinese Recipe.

SILVER HILL LAUNCHES DRS SCHEME

Ireland is preparing to change the way it recycles with the launch of the national Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) which goes live in February 2024.
In conjunction with Lidl Ireland who were the first retailer in Ireland to introduce a reverse vending machine to pilot the deposit return system, Silver Hill Duck are the first supplier nationally to reuse this recycled material in the packaging for our products.
30% of the total tray weight in our Crispy Duck and Pancake product is now made from collected bottles recycled by customers in store with the tray itself being 100% recyclable! Customers also receive 10 cents in store credit for every empty PET beverage bottle they place into the machines.
This is a significant and exciting step in our country’s transition to a more circular economy and to tackle the 1.9 billion drink bottles and cans consumed each year in Ireland.

As part of our strategic partnership with Technological University Dublin we were delighted to welcome 30 culinary students to Silver Hill Duck who are the next generation of talented Chefs in Ireland.
The students undertook a full tour of our production process and also had a tasting lunch to sample the #bestduckintheworld.
A big thank you to George Smith, Culinary Arts Lecturer in TUD, who shared with us the very first Silver Hill Duck trophy he won 40 years ago presented to him by our founders Mr & Mrs Steele.
