VISIT TO ASIA

Today the Silver Hill Duck team in Singapore had the pleasure of meeting with An Taoiseach Micheál Martin as part of his official visit to Asia.
The Taoiseach met with our Distributor Irish Duck Company, esteemed customers and Bord Bia – Irish Food Board for a business lunch and in his speech acknowledged the performance of Silver Hill Duck who are in over 300 high end restaurants and hotels in Singapore.
Further proof Ireland has some of the best produce in the world and we look forward to bringing our world renowned duck to other markets in the region in the near future.


SHORTLISTED FOR IRISH EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION FOOD & DRINK EXPORTER OF THE YEAR

We have just received news that we have been shortlisted for Irish Exporters Association Food & Drink Exporter of the Year.
Silver Hill Duck currently exports to 24 countries around the world. Our team work hard to implement and execute a well thought out strategy for opening export markets and this nomination is a testament to that. BLACKWATER STEELERS

Silver Hill Duck is delighted to once again support the Blackwater Steelers Basketball Club as main sponsor for 2022.
With 11 teams competing across numerous age groups, the club has grown from strength to strength over the years and can now boast 180 children playing the game of basketball locally .

DAFFODIL & DAISY CANCER CHARITY FUND

Silver Hill Duck in conjunction with Fane Valley Group are delighted to launch the groups new designated charity initiative, Daffodil & Daisy Cancer Charity Fund.
Over the next 18 months we will partner and support the invaluable work of 3 wonderful charities Cancer Fund for Children Marie Curie UK, and the Irish Cancer Society
The Silver Hill Duck Team hosted a Coffee & Cupcake morning to launch the initiative and over the next 18 months we will be participating in a wide range of fundraising activities.

In 1965 the total population of the UAE was 150,000 and Dubai was mostly desert. Today the population in the region is 10 million and Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
As talented Chefs from around the world move to Dubai to apply their trade, enquiries for Silver Hill Duck soon followed. Silver Hill is already supplying to 50 high end Hotels & Restaurants in Dubai since launching at Gulfood last February.
Two of our customers are Dubai’s most beloved Chinese Restaurants. Zheng He’s, which is a stunning waterside restaurant with views of the famous Burj Al Arab and Atmosphere, the world’s tallest restaurant located on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa.

DUCKLAND

Imagine a dining concept in South East Asia based solely on the famous Silver Hill Duck from Ireland. Our Singapore customer TungLok Group brought this very idea to life. Duckland Restaurants launched in 2019 and everything from their duck dishes to the interior is inspired by their teams visit to Silver Hill Duck in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan back in 2018.

TUD DUCK COMPETITION

As part of our strategic partnership with Technological University Dublin the annual Silver Hill Duck competition occurred last week at their new state of the art campus in Grangegorman.
Open to all culinary arts students, 6 finalists were selected to cook up a delicious duck dish with a recipe of their choice.
A massive congratulations to Tibor Markovic and well done to all finalists on such an excellent high standard.
