GREAT TASTE WINNERS
A fantastic awards season continues for Silver Hill as we picked up an amazing 12 Gold Stars across 9 of our products at the prestigious Great Taste Awards
Known as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world, a total of 500 food experts judged 14,200 entries from 108 different countries.
The quality of our Duck is world renowned and our consistent commitment to this has yet again been rewarded.

SILVER HILL SUMMIT
Last Saturday 40 of our brave employees summited the highest mountain in Northern Ireland Slieve Donard, as part of the Silver Hill Summit in aid of the Fane Valley Group Daffodil & Daisy Cancer Charity Fund.
An extremely challenging but very rewarding and enjoyable team bonding day with an incredible €8,405 raised for three very worthwhile Cancer Charities in Ireland.
A massive thank you to everyone who participated and donated towards the event and well done again to all our employees who have just about recovered!

BLAS NA HEIREANN GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE WINNERS
A fantastic Friday! This afternoon we were proud recipients of all three Gold, Silver & Bronze Awards at the Blas Na HEireann Awards in Dingle Co. Kerry.
A further testament to each of our employees unwavering commitment to quality!
Tonight we are also shortlisted for the Irish Exporters Association Food & Drink Exporter of the Year in recognition of our success in export markets as we continue take the Silver Hill Duck to markets near and far from our home in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan.

DAFFODIL & DAISY CHARITY FUND
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
As part of the Fane Valley Group Daffodil & Daisy Cancer Charity Fund, we recently had the privilege of spending the day visiting the truly remarkable Cancer Fund for Children Daisy Lodge in the beautiful Mourne Mountains in Newcastle Co. Down.
Daisy Lodge is a purpose-built therapeutic centre located in Newcastle Co. Down for families affected by cancer. It is designed to enable families to spend quality time together in a safe and supportive environment, far removed from the pressures of cancer treatment and hospital wards.
Thank you to Daisy Lodge for such a warm welcome and tour of the facility. Silver Hill Duck and the wider Fane Valley Group look forward to supporting you and the other cancer charities on the island of Ireland via a host of upcoming staff challenges and events.

IQFA GOLD WINNERS
Last night at the Irish Quality Food Awards , we were announced as Gold winners for our Whole Duck, Garlic & Black Pepper Fillet, Confit Legs, Crispy Duck & Pancake and Duck Fat.
We are passionate about the quality of our Duck and this is a further testament to our unwavering commitment to producing the #bestduckintheworld.

Day 2 of Food&HotelAsia as part of the trade mission to the region.
Great to catch up with so many of our current customers and also introduce the famous Silver Hill Duck to a lot of new customers.
Very proud to share the Bord Bia – Irish Food Board Ireland stand with a host of other great quality Irish food and drink brands who’s products are in demand around Asia.
VISIT TO SINGAPORE
As part of our visit to Singapore for Food&HotelAsia this week, we were delighted to mark the milestone of one of our esteemed customers TungLok Group who have now sold 500,000 Silver Hill Ducks in all of their restaurants.
Minister Charlie McConalogue , Bord Bia – Irish Food Board CEO Michael Murphy and our MD Micheál Briody presented founder Andrew Tjioe with a plaque to mark the achievement and also acknowledge his contribution to other Irish Food and Drink in the market.
LAUNCH IN UAE
Our Head of Sales Barry Cullen and Sales & Marketing Manager Greg Devlin are in Dubai to officially launch our partnership with Fresh Express LLC in the UAE.
Supported by Bord Bia – Irish Food Board 30 of the best Head Chefs across Dubai and Abu Dhabi sampled the Silver Hill Duck for the first time. It was great to meet each of them and the Fresh Express team to share our world renowned product and story.
We look forward to developing close relationships and the Silver Hill brand in this exciting new market. A big thank you to the Bord Bia Middle East Team for all the support.
